GPS navigation systems have changed the driving experience irrevocably, and many drivers who are now accustomed to the satellite technology cannot conceive how they ever lived without it. However, numerous instances have demonstrated that drivers should not be so naïve as to put their fate and that of their passengers entirely in the hands of their sat nav systems.

Prior to sat nav systems taking off, the most common way of finding where you were going was to rely on a human navigator reading an ungainly and often out-of-date map in the passenger seat. While sat nav systems sometimes make mistakes that are down to changes being made since location-based data was collected, on the whole they are much more practical to use for a driver travelling on their own, because they can give out directions, even when a driver is in a car alone.

If you’re using a portable GPS system, as opposed to one built in to your vehicle, you could face additional problems. The small size of the display screen can make portable GPS systems more difficult to read and interpret than hardwired models, and they can also present tempting targets for thieves if left unattended in your vehicle. With in-built GPS systems typically boasting greater reception than handheld units, and also often doubling up as multimedia players, there are clear advantages of convenience to choosing cars with this technology already fitted.

Unfortunately, this presents another drawback in itself – the price of cars with GPS built-in, which can often make them unrealistic options for motorists. The good news for those who desire sat nav capability is that the technology is becoming cheaper all the time as it becomes more available, so it shouldn’t be too long before sat nav is considered a standard feature of all cars, comparable to the stereo.

While sat nav systems have more advantages than drawbacks today’s drivers may be becoming too complacent, due to the technology making all their decisions for them. The worst case scenario is that drivers who become too reliant on sat nav systems could be more likely to get involved in collisions and other accidents that would easily have been avoided if applying common sense, as well as run the risk of these incidents not being covered by their online car insurance policy if they were found to be the party at fault.

A lot of buyers are running into difficulties due to the market being full of different models, all offering a variety of new features. More importantly, there are specific models that are better suited to different cars.

As a result of this here are some things that www.centralcontracts.com advises you should think about when purchasing a sat-nav for your Renault.

1) You can purchase three types of sat-nav. These are known as integrated based systems, plug and go systems and portable systems.

Integrated based systems: This means the sat-nav is installed within the car and works well with the rest of your cars features. The downside is the costly installation but in contrast to this the sat-nav is a static feature in your car and will not be cumbersome.

Plug and go systems: These sat-nav systems are a lot cheaper than integrated ones and can be used in any car. The only disadvantage is that this system can be bulky and they are often stole because they’re easily taken from a car.

Portable systems: The most portable sat-nav with the lowest price tag as you can download it onto a mobile device. However, the issue with this sat-nav is the maps aren’t too clearly visible being displayed on a phone screen and the phone charges can high.

2) Next, consider the size and visibility of the screen. The display quality and size should be of a high standard even in very bright light or shaded situations. Avoiding any situations where you could be travelling and lose visibility, the screen needs to be of a good enough quality to be highly visible at all times. With a non-reflective screen and bright display.

3) The amount of coverage that your GPS gives you is also important. You need to be confident that you sat-nav won’t cut out if you go up a country road or if you park under a tree. You don’t want to get lost somewhere and your sat-nav has crashed and has no information on how to get you back home. So make sure that you read up on specifications of GPS systems available on the market.

4) Make sure that your sat-nav gives directions through both audio and visual techniques. Here are the two reasons why this is so important: Firstly, you have to concentrate on the road when you’re driving so the use of audio instructions is safer and quicker than visual ones. Secondly, text can be beneficial as it lets you go over what was just said, if they weren’t clear the first time. At this stage it is a good idea to check your Renault specification to see if it has a facility to connect to a GPS unit.

5) Does your sat-nav come equipped with any extra features? Some sat-navs will have extras that can tell you areas where traffic is particularly bad and the locations of speed cameras. These additional features can safeguard you from instances where you get stuck in a traffic jam and can enable you to lower your speed before you get to a speed camera. They can also help you to make the most of your Renault Megane leasing deal, whether you leased it from www.centralcontracts.com or another reputable leasing firm.

Following this advice it won’t matter whether you have had your car for twenty years or have just taken out a Renault leasing deal then you’ll have no problem reaching your destination.

Purchasing a GPS can be difficult as the marketplace is full of various models offering new features. More importantly, there are specific sat-navs that are better suited to specific cars.

Due to this, here are some facts that Lease Car advises you should think about when purchasing a sat-nav for your Seat.

1) Currently there are three types of sat-nav available. These are known as integrated based systems, plug and go systems and portable systems.

Integrated based systems: This sat-nav is installed straight into the car and interacts with the other aspects of your car. The main problem with this system is the costly installation but in contrast to this the system integrates itself into your cars system.

Plug and go systems: These sat-nav systems are a lot cheaper than integrated systems and are far more portable. The only downside is that this sat-nav can be cumbersome and they run a risk of being stolen, as they are easily removed from your car.

Portable Systems: The best portable option and the cheapest as they are installed into your phone. However, the disadvantage is that the maps aren’t too clearly visible being displayed on a phone screen and the phone charges can high.

2) Next, think about the picture quality and size of the display. The display quality and size should be of a high standard even in very bright light or darker lighting, the screen display should remain clear. You don’t want to be driving your Seat and lose the ability to see your sat-nav screen. It needs to be consistently bright enough to view, as well as being non-reflective and constantly visible.

3) GPS coverage is also important to consider before buying your sat-nav. You need to guarantee that your new sat-nav won’t lose service when you travel in sheltered areas such as a forest. You want to avoid a situation in which you’re stranded and see that your sat-nav has stopped working and won’t tell you how to get home. So make sure that you read up on specifications of GPS systems available on the market.

4) Make sure it gives voice and text directions. There are two reasons why this is important: Firstly, you shouldn’t have to look away from the road whilst driving so audio instructions will be much safer during journeys. Secondly, the inclusion of text allows you to re-read the instructions, if you didn’t hear it the first time. During this stage it is a good idea to check your Seat manual and see if it has options for connecting to a sat-nav.

5) Do you get any additional features? Several sat-nav systems can inform you of common traffic congestion areas and the locations of speed cameras. Features such as these ensure that you don’t get stuck in traffic and can allow you to slow down before you come to a speed camera. These features also mean that you can make the most of Seat leasing deal, whether you signed a deal with Lease Car or one of the other big leasing firms.

If you follow this article then whether you’ve had your car forever or you’ve just taken out a Seat leasing deal then you should find your destination with ease.

Let me get straight to the point.  Here’s the deal.  Your power station of energy lies within you – not your possessions.  Say to yourself, ‘I have the power to change the direction of my Life now and avoid the biggest obstacle up ahead… Myself.’

As the greatest philosopher of our time Homer Simpson has said, D’Oh.  The old formulas of past successes can be thrown out the window.  Future achievers already have vision and individuals who are visionaries are what the World is crying out for right this minute.

Imagine the Media being like a double decker bus and the internet is Usain ‘Lightning’ Bolt running the men’s 100 metres final is 9.58 seconds.  Picture this… the Media is desperately trying to keep up with how ‘the rules’ are changing, online in particular.

Here’s a terrific example.  The JK Wedding Entrance Dance You Tube video has been viewed 21 million times.  Not to mention the fact that it’s a fundraising phenomenon helping those affected by violence.  What a knockout accidental global media coup.  Think about it – Jill and Kevin’s Wedding has been immortalised and they’re promoting violence protection.  This couple are Legends in their own Lifetime.  Their video’s playing in the background as I write this.  The impact for me has been that the first time I watched it last weekend was with my Family, Friends and my new Sister-In-Law to be (next month).  I laughed a lot.  Second time I cried a lot.

We are the Superstars of the future being created in our own living rooms.  What a shift in mindset.  Don’t you just love it?

Here’s another rock solid example.  Ashton Kutcher won the CNN Twitter race to be crowned the first to cross the one million followers line.  Like Bolt’s running genius, Kutcher’s ingenious vision was pure class.

Yet another visionary I have had the privilege of being around lately in Ireland is Helen Tonetti, Guerrilla Marketing Guru.  She’s documenting how she’ll be a millionaire by next year and rustling up some prime real estate publicity into the bargain.

Become you own best World Record Breaker.  People often say to me ‘you’re an amazing Teacher.’  Let’s put this myth to bed right now.  I am not a Teacher.  However, I do install in people tried and tested and proven systems to enable them to instantly tap into dynamite ways of exploding their Communications effectiveness.  I can do this in my sleep since Media has been in my blood since I was a kid.

What lies with you is a finely tuned Communications Machine just waiting to be cranked up and unleashed.  I bet there’s something you’re absolutely brilliant at that other people need to hear about – Today.  What are you bursting to share?  Imagine how your knowledge can help other people while enhancing your profile, career & business at the same time.  Pretty amazing, don’t you think?  Our economy needs people like you who choose to think outside the box.  Position yourself as an Expert right now & see how your Life takes off.

So, go on, hit your reset switch.  It only takes a moment.  You are the Captain and Crew.  What is your destination?  It is always possible to Reset You Sat Nav For Life.

Satellite navigation systems have been in our lives for the last half a decade, and we can ll say that for the majority of the time, they have made our lives easier. But a couple in the USA would disagree, as they made the trip from Reno through Oregon, their sat nav took them down the wrong road. They had checked a map before they went and the road looked much like the one they should have taken, so they followed it, to find the road getting thinner and thinner. And then it started to snow. After three days of being snowed into a dirt track, the emergency services found them, but told them if it had carried on snowing they would to have been found till spring. Scary stuff.

Environmental factors can play a large part in sat nav systems giving you the wrong results; like tall buildings or the weather, these things all interfere with the signal between your machine and the satellite.  The companies who make the systems try to get round these obstacles by updating the maps on a three monthly basis, but sometimes the signal will bounce around, causing the machine to get a little confused.

Emergency services suggest that if you are making a long trip, you have a back up map for in case the machinery goes haywire. They also recommend telling your family when you are due to arrive, keep a spare mobile charger for the cigarette lighter, and pack blankets and lots of food for a journey.

The scenario with contract mobile phones is absolutely different. The target market for these handsets are mainly the higher income groups who do not have any problem with paying a monthly bill. They are thus those kind of people who have money to spend. When the same logic gets applied the promotional strategy for these contract phones is absolutely different. Gifts that this income group will expect will not be themes or wallpapers but mostly those with which they can utilise their time and money. Hence laptops, televisions and iPods fall under this category. The free gifts with mobile phones of the contract type are thus expensive items and cost a lot of money to buy. Hence the proper marketing tools for selling this product will be gifts like 27 inch LCD TV’s and gadgets like SAT NAV”s made by TomTom and Garmin. Gifts like TVs are available by many brands like LG and Toshiba and they have their respective target markets. The fun is when people get these kind of gifts free without spending a penny, they get elated and further when they get these gifts by buying contract phones which are far cheaper than the gifts that they receive.
